2015 Holy Week Schedule

Please join Middlebush Reformed Church in celebrating the 2015 Holy Week with the events below.

Palm Sunday Worship ~ March 29, 11:00 AM
Begin Holy Week by coming to Sunday School/Adult Nurture and worship!  Our worship continues our Lenten Theme of 1 John 4: 4 – greater is he that is in you than he who is in the world – as we look at Peter’s experience of A Greater Forgiveness.  Our worship service concludes with our annual Passion Reading as our young people carry in The Cross.

Maundy Thursday ~ April 2, 7:30 PM
Join our Maundy Thursday worship service, centered around The Lord’s Supper, remembering the night Jesus shared this meal with his disciples in the upper room.  We reflect on Peter again as he seeks “A Greater Share.”  Two of MRC’s children will receive their first Communion.  Our service closes with the Seven Last Words of Christ and a time for silent prayer.

Good Friday ~ April 3, 12:00 – 3:00 PM
Reflect further on the Seven Last Words of Christ in an ecumenical worship service, led by clergy from the Franklin Township and New Brunswick area.  A free-will offering will be received, with proceeds being given to the Franklin Township Food Bank.  Come for as much of the service as you can to share in hymns, readings and reflections on Jesus’ final seven sayings.

Easter Sunday ~ April 5, 7:00 AM
Worship the Risen Light of the World at daybreak!  Weather permitting; we will start our celebration of Easter with worship outdoors in Thomson Park, across from our church.  (In case of inclement weather, we will worship indoors.)  Join our opening Alleluia as we consider:  “The Disappearing Angels.”

Easter Sunday ~ April 5, 11:00 AM
Celebrate the Risen Christ as we see indeed that greater is he that is in us than he who is in the world!  With the beauty of lilies, with joyful singing, and with an exuberant experience of Holy Communion, our hearts will be lifted up to praise God for his gift of life in Jesus Christ!
