Class on The Bible and Human Sexuality
As part of Consistory’s effort to inform and prepare our congregation for Vision 2020 and related discussions, Pastor George will lead a final offering of the class on The Bible and Human Sexuality.
The first half of the class will review specific Bible passages typically understood to be relevant to the topic. These sessions will be held on Sunday evenings, September 29, October 6, and October 13 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. A light supper will be included.
In November the second half of the class will be held to review theological understandings and church governance implications, including a detailed review of what “Vision 2020” is and what it could mean for the RCA and for MRC. The more who share this experience the more we have a common language for our upcoming congregation-wide discussion(s).
The Consistory cannot overstate how highly we value having as many people as possible to participate. Please prayerfully consider attending.
